A Stunning Riverside Wedding at Cambridge Mill: Katherine + Scott
I say this a lot, but it is really true. I have some of the sweetest clients ever. Katherine and Scott are living proof of this fact and I’m sure if you just a day with them, you will agree as well. I love the way they interact with each other – always reaching to touch each other and hold each other’s hand or sneaking a glance at each other. I was lucky to capture their wedding day in Cambridge which although was a brisk Fall day was filled with so much warmth and love.
Katherine got ready at their home together in Guelph while Scott got ready at his best friend Ryan’s wedding (whose wedding we shot last year as well!). As their wedding was in the middle of November, we didn’t have a lot of daylight to work with so Katherine and Scott decided to have a first look before their ceremony. I love love love that they did this because Scott’s reaction when he first saw his soon-to-be-wife on their wedding day was one of the best I’ve witnessed. I’m so happy to have captured the built up of excitement, joy and happiness all rolled into one during their first look and it was extra nice that they had some intimate time together to enjoy it together!
Their ceremony held at the Cambridge Mill was situated in a glass house that overlooked the Grand River that runs through the town. And just like a movie, the sun set down in front of us and we were graced with beautifully coloured skies. Their wedding reception also at the Cambridge Mill was so warm and cozy. I love the rustic style wooden beam ceilings and the stone walls. It had such a romantic candlelight dinner feel. Their tablescapes were dressed with a mix of lush white centrepieces and garlands with long white standing roses. But more than anything, you could just feel the love in the room. Katherine and Scott said they were just so happy to be in one room with all the people they love the most. I couldn’t have said it better. This is why I love weddings because there is so much love in this world to capture and should be celebrated!
A huge thank you to Katherine and Scott for trusting us with your special day! It was honestly such a pleasure to capture your love from your engagement to your first day as husband and wife. Wishing you both many more years of love and happiness!
