From the time I photographed Christie and Stanley’s engagement session at Toronto Islands, I knew that their Ancaster Mill wedding was going to be as sweet as they are. Christie and Stanley met through working at the same hospital. Though they would run into each other from time to time, they never really talked. Two of the nurses (both named Olga.. or Olga squared!) found out that Stanley was such a nice guy but was surprised to find him still single. They nudged him to ask Christie out. Stanley proposed to Christie by wrapping a ring around a popsicle stick and sealed it in a Hagen Dazs ice cream bar wrapper. The ice cream was sentimental to them since they shared their first kiss over the same dessert. So cute! Despite being together for only two and a half years, they say it’s like they’ve always been together.
Their wedding day started off at the Barrack’s Inn where they got ready. The bright chapel at Ancaster Mill was filled with natural light which made it so beautiful to photograph. Christie and Stanley said their “I Do’s” in the sweetest ceremony and celebrated with their family, friends and workmates over a relaxed lunch reception. I love how perfectly complemented they are – always wanting to spend as much time together as possible (even trying to have lunch together at work!). They are such a cute couple to be around, with Christie being the more excitable and fun loving one where Stanley is more relaxed. Christie’s reactions are honestly the cutest! I think her reaction coming back up the aisle after their ceremony has got to be one of my favourites! I so loved capturing and being part of their special day.
