Katherine and Scott have been together for over three years. After buying their first home together in Guelph, Scott decided to take the next step. Katherine was in her best friend’s wedding in Philadelphia, and Scott suggested spending a few days in New York City before traveling to Philly for the wedding. Katherine didn’t know it at the time, but Scott had already asked for her parents’ blessing, bought a ring, and told most of their friends about his plan to propose before they left for the trip.
On the last afternoon in NYC (after carrying the ring in his pocket for 3 days and panicking every time he went through a metal detector at airport security), Scott took Katherine to her favourite place in the city (Poet’s Walk in Central Park) and got down on one knee to propose. Katherine cried lots of happy tears and said yes! Just the cutest!
I wish everyone could witness what these two are like together. They light each other up and are always smiling. You can just tell that they are so deeply happy and you can’t help but laugh along with them! Scott describes Katherine as a person with “boundless happiness and a bright smile” and it really is the perfect description of them! I love that we went to Elora Gorge for their engagement photo session because it really fit their beautiful laid-back nature so well! What a fun engagement session – I so can’t wait for their wedding at the Cambridge Mill later this year!
