Michelle and Brandon met while working together at Red Lobster. They started hanging out as they had several mutual friends and something “clicked”. From then on, they started dating and their September wedding will mark their fifth year anniversary! They love to spend time cooking dinner together and enjoying talking with one another over a couple of bottles of bambino champagne. It was the same reason why Brandon surprised Michelle to a home cooked dinner, some champagne and an engagement ring for his proposal! To celebrate their day, they had their favourite bambino champagne given to all their guests as favours – such a cute idea!
Michelle and Brandon’s wedding day at Geraldo’s at LaSalle Park in Burlington was just so sweet. I love the little care package that Brandon got to get him through the day – socks for the cold feet, a small bottle of alcohol to calm the nerves, 5 hour energy to get him to the altar, and mints to ensure a fresh kiss. But Brandon didn’t need any of that. In fact, it even rained all day long, but it didn’t affect either of them one bit. You could tell that they were just so focused on enjoying this special day with each other.
They chose soft pink colour tones for the groom ties and the bridesmaid dresses. Michelle had her three sisters by her side as her bridesmaids who spent a lot of time designing and putting together all the pieces for the wedding. With some clear umbrellas for the bridal party, we took a few photos out in the rain. During the reception I noticed that it had stopped raining so I took Michelle and Brandon out to the lake and the skies were beautifully coloured purply pink. This was one of my favourite moments of the day because Michelle and Brandon were just relaxed and happy at this point in the evening, soaking up the fact that they are now officially MARRIED!!! My second favourite moment has got to be when everyone got up to celebrate and dance in the Jewish Horah. I mean, who doesn’ like the Horah, it’s so much fun and it brings all the family together!
Their wedding ended up being just what they wanted – intimate, rustic and full of love. I had so much fun photographing this incredible wedding at this beautiful wedding venue by the lake! Even with just spending a day with Michelle and Brandon, you can just tell that they fit each other so perfectly.
