Diane was invited to sing at Keith’s church (Ekklessia Kingdom Ministries) but was running late for her call time. Keith was serving in the parking lot and as Diane was in a hurry, she was about to rear end the car in front of her. Keith yelled out, “WAIT!” and waived his hands for her to stop. Diane recalls that she emerged from her vehicle embarrassed but hoping to reclaim her parallel parking honours and informs Keith with a smile, “I really can drive you know? I am just in a rush…” After the church service, Keith caught her attention and said “You seem nice and I would like to get to know you better. Would you like to exchange numbers?” So they did and it didn’t take long for Keith to make his second move. Later that evening he called and they met the very next evening for their first date for tea and dessert.
But it was only until the evening of Diane’s birthday that they were spinning high above Toronto at the CN Tower 360 Degrees Revolving Restaurant that Keith executed his proposal plan. It was time for dessert and Diane ordered a fruit bowl. The waiter tried to encourage her to splurge on a more decadent selection but she just really wanted the fruit bowl. Keith excused himself from the table to go to the rest room. When he returned, he began to talk about their relationship and Diane knew at this point that the big question was coming! Her anticipation was running high above the clouds and Keith reached into his pocket and took out a small velvet black box.
Grinning from ear to ear, Diane grabs the box with tears in her eyes and there it was… a necklace with a heart pendant. With jubilation and glee Keith says, “a heart as a symbol of my love for you”. Diane says with a corny smile, “Thanks babe”. But then comes back the waiter to their table with her bowl of fruit and a martini glass filled with shaved ice. Diane thought the martini glass was strange but didn’t think anything of it. It was only until the waiter said, “this glass is special it’s for you!” Diane still didn’t think anything of it until Keith pointed out “what’s that?” She looked at the glass and there was what she was looking for – the diamond ring nestled on the shavings of ice. Keith declared “When I do this its forever and not to be done again, will you marry me?”. And of course Diane said yes!
Diane and Keith’s love for each other is so radiant that no amount of rain can ruin their wedding day! It was due to thunderstorm on their wedding day and so their ceremony at the Royal Ambassador in Caledon was moved from the gazebo overlooking the water to a tent. But Diane and Keith glowed full of love. Diane’s favourite colour is purple so her wedding was decorated in shades of purple right down to her bridal shoes and Keith’s tie. And can you believe that these flowers were from Fortinos? They were so stunning! The new Caesar’s Centre was a great venue for their wedding reception especially since they were in for a big party!
Thank you Diane and Keith for giving me this opportunity to capture your love! Your energy is so infectious and unforgettable and I hope you never change your fun loving selves! Congratulations!
