They say good things come to those who wait. Caitlin and Steven’s love story began when a mutual friend decided to set the both of them up. Although Steven took the courage to text Caitlin, it took her five long weeks before she responded. And a good thing she did. When these two come together, you can just tell how happy they make each other.
Caitlin and Steven’s wedding day began with Caitlin getting ready at The Glenerin Inn. Caitlin kept her bridal style very classic and romantic. I loved how she wore Tiffany pearls that her father bought her for her 13th and 16th Christmases. She found such a sparkly Jimmy Choo sling back open toe pair of heels, which are called “Nova” – the same name as one of her bridesmaids! Her father then picked her up in a vintage Porsche
Steve also kept his style very classic with wearing three-piece tuxes. He and his groomsmen got ready at Credit Valley Golf Club where they would later have both their wedding ceremony and reception. They chose this venue since it was such a private and intimate venue. With so many wedding venues hosting multiple weddings at once these days, it must have been so comforting to know that theirs would be the only wedding that day. But how can you pass on this beautiful outdoor ceremony site? The beautifully manicured golf course sat in the background and had so many colourful fall trees. It gave it that romance and whimsy feel that they were looking for.
They incorporated elements of Steven’s Cambodian background into their wedding invitations as well as their table numbers. Their wedding colours consisted of pink golds and nude colours but kept it classic with midnight blue. It was such a nice idea to have the table numbers in English on one side and in Khmer on another. Each table was decorated with blue linens and gold charger plates. Their centrepieces consisted of blush and ivory roses, blue and white anemones, small South-East Asian orchids and olive leaf greenery. Each table had one of two centrepieces. One centrepiece included a low footed gold bowl with gorgeous flowers and greenery spilling out. The other centrepiece consisted of a golden lantern with flowers and greenery spilling out and around the base of the lantern. They matched their four-tier wedding cake and their cookie wedding favours with lotus flowers and was made of dulce de leche and vanilla flavours.
Caitlin and Steven’s wedding day was so beautiful overall! From the moment I met Caitlin and Steven, I just knew that it would be so wonderfully organized and put together. If I had to select three of my favourite moments from this wedding it had to be when Steven saw Caitlin for the first time that morning as well as when they exchanged their vows and their wedding rings. Their smile on their faces just said everything about their relationship. Then at the end of the night, we celebrated with some fun sparklers with their wedding party. It was just the perfect way to end this fairytale wedding! So loved photographing this special day for you Caitlin and Steven!
