When I first met Joanne and Vincent, I knew they were such a sweet loving couple. Joanne and Vincent had actually officially met over 13 years ago but they probably met prior to that as their families have known each other for decades. Despite the fact that Vince is from Toronto and Jo is from New York, they exchanged contact information and spent countless hours chatting. They began a long-distance relationship with countless flights back and forth until Vince proposed to Jo in Central Park. Luckily for him, an opportunity came up for him to move to New York to work so they could be together at last!
What I really love about Jo and Vince is their ability to work through thick and thin. Long distance relationships are difficult but they always made plans together and are so thankful for where they are now. I think this is so key in relationships – to plan for the future together, be supportive of one another and to forever be thankful for what they have.
Jo and Vince have an extremely large family who came in from all over to celebrate this amazing day at Deer Creek Golf Club with them. You can tell that they both have been brought up in loving families and that family is extremely important to both of them. Over 300 guests came to celebrate this day with them, and most of them were family! It was like a huge family reunion!
It must have been difficult to plan a wedding from afar, but Jo and Vince had everything down pat. They wanted to keep their wedding style romantic and classic with begonia pink, navy blue, creams and champagne running through. I love the use of the delicate cherry blossom centrepieces on each table to bring in the spring’s beauty. These colours brought such an elegant and romantic feel to the venue, especially since it, unfortunately, poured with rain throughout their wedding day. We were lucky enough to catch a small break before the tea ceremony to go out for some photos as I knew they had wanted the natural and romantic setting of the outdoors in the golf club.
Jo and Vince’s day was so much fun to photograph! Their sweetness beams through the photos naturally and their love fills our heart with so much joy. Despite it raining all day, I could feel so much warmth from the love of every person who was there to celebrate with them.
