Katherine and Kevin knew it was meant to be as they’re always sharing love and laughter with each other every day. Katherine and Kevin had actually met online three years ago. Kevin had viewed Katherine’s profile many times before he even sent her a message. But it was Katherine who reached out first. She said, “hahaha you know I can see you viewing my profile”. Kevin said that even though he hadn’t even said anything yet, he had already made her laugh.
They bonded over their sarcastic humour and their love of Game of Thrones. They both love musicals and Katherine knew that Kevin was the one when she found out he knew all the words to Les Miserables.
Their humour aside, their proposal was so sweet. As Katherine is a nurse, after a long 12-hour shift at the hospital, she came home to find her condo decorated with candles and rose petals. He made little stations of pictures and messages, each one representing an important memory or milestone in their relationship.
Katherine and Kevin’s wedding day started off at their parent homes, where they got ready. Katherine’s bridesmaids wore matching satin fuschia pink Alfred Sung dresses helped her get into her gorgeous dress from Amanda-Lina’s Sposa Boutique. I love how Katherine matched the fuschia pink with her Kate Spade heels!
Their beautiful wedding ceremony took place at the Timothy Eaton Memorial Church where their Reverand who has known Katherine’s family for over 20 years wedded them. Despite there being a low chance of rain that day, it, unfortunately, ended up pouring throughout the ceremony and into our wedding portraits time so we did a couple of photos at the church.
When we got to the Estates of Sunnybrook it had stopped raining which allowed us to capture a few bridal party portraits. Their dining room at the Vaughan Estate was decorated in their wedding colours of fuschia pink, navy and rose gold. Katherine and Kevin’s head table featured hanging tea lights and rose gold sequin table linens.
Katherine and Kevin had actually decided on Estates of Sunnybrook as their wedding reception because they knew that the proceeds would go to the Sunnybrook Hospital. It was one of the reasons why my husband and I chose to have our wedding at Estates of Sunnybrook as well. Their family shared heartfelt congratulations to the couple. You could truly feel all the love in the room. Their wedding day was so much fun, just like how they are as a couple together.
