Aislynn and Ryan are so sweet and down to earth. When I met them last year, I just knew that their wedding was going to be very organized and smooth from the way they crossed their t’s and dotted their i’s on everything. They asked me all the right questions and I loved that about them. I guess it was so natural for them, both being teachers. Their calm demeanour. Their attention to detail. Their sweet hearts. Aislynn and Ryan’s love story began like out of a movie. I wrote about how it was like love at first sight when I photographed their engagement session at Riverdale Farms and Cherry Beach in downtown Toronto back in the wintery snow.
When they approached me about photographing their wedding at The Doctor’s House in Kleinburg, I was so excited! The best part of the Doctor’s House is that the chapel is so cute! It allows for a small intimate ceremony and has a few reception space options. Aislynn and Ryan had their reception in The Heritage Room which was surrounded by a seafoam walls, beautiful wood framing and adorable fairy lighting. I loved how they coordinated their wedding decor with cute colours of pink, white and seafoam.
Aislynn got her gorgeous Paloma Blanca dress from Elmwood Brides Aurora. Aislynn told me how she initially eyed this dress having saw it in a magazine and it was perfect! I am such in awe because that never happened for me! All the dresses I wanted to try on looked terrible on me and I was so disappointed! But I gotta say, Aislynn looked spectacular in this dress. It was like as if it was made just for her. I loved the bow detail on the back and the softness of the skirt. Just perfect!
After the ceremony, we went over to Main St, Kleinburg for some more photos and then headed straight back into the reception. It was so hot and humid that day and Aislynn and Ryan were so patient with us. Thank you so much! I feel so honoured to not only have captured this special day, but to have witnessed Ryan and Aislynn’s bride and groom speech. I’ve never heard a more heartfelt speech and as I was snapping away behind my camera I took a moment to look around the room and everyone was crying! Even adult men were reddy eyed with tears. And if that tells you anything, it is that Ryan and Aislynn’s love is incredible.
Aislynn and Ryan, thank you again! We so loved photographing your first day as husband and wife! A huge congratulations to you both and wishing you and incredible lifetime together!
