Taylor and Robinson have been together for a whopping nine years after meeting each other at a friend’s party. They love to spend time together at home watching movies (Taylor’s favourite movies are horror movies!). They’ve grown so close and now know how to make each other laugh and smile on a whim. That special and unique bond is more than just having each other as their best friend by their side.Having a partner who will be there for you no matter what is so so special, and the both of them feel so lucky to have each other. Three years ago, Robinson proposed in the woods in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Kortright was their perfect wedding venue as they had dreamed of having a fall rustic forest wedding. They chose wine, burnt orange and gold for their wedding colours to match the time of year. There were plenty of fallen leaves on the ground which created so much vibrancy and colour to the surroundings of their wedding day. Taylor and her bridesmaids held one of the most colourful bouquets I’ve had the pleasure to photograph this year which popped from every photo.
I love how their fall inspired wedding decor – with long gold candles, lots of greenery, tea lights, tree branches, and of course bursts of colour with wine, orange and red florals. It was very romantic, rustic and intimate. But my favourite wedding decor item was their cute gold pumpkins which they used to hold down each of the place cards for their guests!
Taylor wore a gorgeous Maggie Sottero dress and had baby’s breath and white roses braided into her hair. Out in the forest, she really did look like a fall forest princess – straight out of a romantic fairytale. Taylor and Robinson opted for a first look which was so so cute! The anticipation of seeing each other had built up immensely especially after reading their cards to each other. Although it was calling for pouring rain all day, it down poured right after their first look (which killed all the power in the area!) but it let up soon after so we could take some more photos. Phew!
It didn’t end up raining like that again for the rest of the day, which meant Taylor and Robinson still had their fall forest wedding ceremony out in the cathedral of trees, as they had wanted. It was so romantic and beautiful. Their first dance out under the fairy lights was as sweet and touching as ever, and their rustic reception in the glass house was cozy and intimate. To celebrate their union, Robinson’s family brought in traditional Chilean dancers as a gift to Taylor. Taylor’s family then welcomed Robinson into the family with the traditional Jewish hora!
It was a cold brisk day, but you would never know it from the pictures! Taylor and Robinson were filled with so much love and happiness in their hearts that they were so immune to the cold! Their love shields them, protects them, and lifts them up. Their smiles from beginning to end says it all. Congratulations Taylor and Robinson!
