Si Hua and Ga-Fye met in college when they both took a business class together. They are a fun loving couple, always caring about each other. They discovered that they love to explore new food together – whether it is trying out a new restaurant or trying out a new recipe. On their eight year of being together, Ga-Fye organised a surprise party at home with their dearest friends and proposed to Si Hua. Their wedding day marked their tenth year of their relationship. How incredible to be together for so long and to embark on a new adventure. I love that they still feel so loved by one another and that they still feel that they have the same love that they had in the beginning, if not, even stronger!

I met Si-Hua and Ga-Fye last year when Ga-Fye was the best man for Stephanie and Alex’s Estates of Sunnybrook wedding in Toronto. Being their photographer for this amazing Montreal wedding was really such an honour because I knew how special their photographs were to them to remember this meaningful day. So much planning had gone into putting their wedding together. In the weeks leading up to their wedding, I was constantly checking the weather forecast which was calling for thunderstorms on their entire wedding weekend. Agh!!! Even right up until the very last minute, the forecast for rain said it had a chance of 80% of 5-10mm of rain for every hour of the day. But we needn’t have worried. We were so lucky with the weather throughout their entire wedding weekend! It ended up raining in the morning and during their ceremony (which was indoors). Everything worked out so perfectly and we could still get all the photos we wanted!
Ga-Fye had a stunning Porsche to drive around his bride on their wedding day. The boys did a great job in decorating it for the occasion. The girls were so gorgeous in their floral wedding robes! We photographed all their wedding portraits in the gardens of the Le St. Martin in Laval. In the middle of their wedding reception, we ran out to the front of the venue to catch the end of the beautiful sunset which produced a beautiful array of colours in the sky. Then at the end of the night, we had some wedding sparkler fun with their one hundred guests. It was a crazy whirlwind of a day but it was nothing less than incredible!
Having got to know Ga-Fye and Si Hua a little over the last year, I’ve come to know that they are so deeply loving to everybody they know. I’ve seen this with how they never fail to think about all the small details in making sure everyone is having a good time. I just know in my heart that the two of them are a match made in heaven. Happy ten year anniversary and wedding day, you guys! Your love will surely continue on for so many more decades to come.
