I can’t believe the day is finally here and we’re leaving for our Bali wedding TOMORROW! Because I had been so busy working, I left everything until the last minute! I did all our details in the very last week. This meant I was paid all our vendors, did the seating charts, picked the songs, making all our stationery, still was getting fitted in my dress, and MORE. Not only that we photographed two weddings and three engagement sessions that were all in Hamilton/Niagara region! We were so busy!
On our last day, I was still hand sewing flowers and cutting confetti all by myself, while still having to pick up my dress from the seamstress, convert all our money over and stuffing everything in our luggage. I really don’t have that many details, I don’t! Here’s a photo of our bag that is completely full of wedding stuff.
Oh gosh. This is just one of the four luggage we are bringing over. One is just entirely my dress. I put all my handmade decor in boxes so they wouldn’t get squished in the bag, but it takes up so much room. It also means that I’ll be putting it all together in the last week as I couldn’t put it together here to take over without it all getting destroyed… Destination weddings are so logistically annoying! If I were to do this over again, I would totally think twice about doing one.. But hopefully it will be worth it in the end 🙂
Our wedding is on May 16th (May 15th in Toronto) as this marks our fifth year anniversary. Stay tuned to the blog and Instagram and I’ll try to keep you updated! We’ll be back in June so while we’re away, feel free to reach us by email and I will try my very best to get back to you!
