When Stacey asked me to photograph her and her husband for her anniversary, I was beyond excited. I thought how fun to do an anniversary shoot together especially Melbourne Fitzroy Gardens wedding photos! Stacey explained that she and David actually never received many photos from their wedding day so they were really looking forward to getting some photos of themselves in their wedding attire. There is no better gift you can give to yourselves than to get dressed up and celebrate what happened one year ago all over again!
Post-wedding photo sessions are becoming increasingly popular as people realize how stressful a wedding day can be and more often than not, there is not much time for a good photo session. On a wedding day, there is so much going on. There is no many people around and so many things to do but so little time. Couples often get stressed that their timelines run late or that they want to fit as many photos as possible into limited time. But with a post-wedding session, we have so much more time and there’s no stress in running back to your guests.
We started Stacey and David’s post-wedding photo session at Fitzroy Gardens. Fitzroy Gardens is so beautiful and is just one of the many beautiful parks in Melbourne. It is really no wonder why that Melbourne is known as the “Garden State’. For Stacey and David, the post-wedding session was really meaningful to them as they didn’t get many photos of just the two of them as well as not one single photo of Stacey and her maid of honour. We were also able to get some photos of Stacey and David together with their son Nate. It actually poured all afternoon, but we were so lucky that the sky cleared just as we started. We didn’t end up getting a hint of sun, but as the evening progressed a touch of light came out for a little bit and we headed over to Treasury Place for photos at the Victorian Old Treasury Building as well as the Victorian Parliament House. These buildings are so iconic to historical Melbourne and I am so glad we were able to get these grand photos for them to treasure.

Hi,
Just wondering where the photo of the family and the wooden bridge is? I have never seen it before in the Fitzroy gardens or any other photos of it! If so, do you know where on the map it is?
How much do you charge for an engagement photoshoot and what does it include please?
Are you available this weekend at all?
Kindest regards,
Elle
It’s definitely in Fitzroy Gardens if you have a wander I’m sure you’ll find it 🙂
