Helen and Kim are both pharmacists met while working at the same company. On their first date, they went for a walk along the Yarra but Kim didn’t make the move to hold Helen’s hand. Helen thought that perhaps Kim wasn’t interested but Kim was the kind of guy who wanted to be really sure before he committed to something. While they both no longer work there, their love remained strong and have been together ever since. Kim, now totally sure he wants to spend the rest of his life with Helen and celebrated their marriage with an amazing Melbourne Museum wedding!
Their day started off with the traditional Vietnamese tea ceremonies in both of their family homes. Helen wore a gorgeous traditional red Ao Dai and Khan Dong. Kim and his groomsmen wore the traditional blue Vietnamese attire. Their wedding ceremony at St Brendan’s Catholic Church in Flemington was so beautiful and included readings from not only Helen herself, but her bridesmaids as well. As their wedding reception was at the Melbourne Museum, we photographed their portraits in the beautiful Carlton Gardens and in front of the stunning Royal Exhibition Building.
After the Melbourne Museum closed up for the evening, the venue was turned into a gorgeous setting for their wedding reception. It was so neat to photograph amongst the fossils of the massive dinosaur bones. It was so cute that their decor also included tiny little gold glitter dinosaurs on the tables. Helen and Kim’s Melbourne Museum wedding reception was one big party which included entertainment from a Vietnamese singer from Vancouver; an eight-piece live band; a DJ; and even a surprise choreographed dance from the groomsmen themselves!
A huge congratulations goes out to Helen and Kim in tying the knot!
