It was meant to rain all day. I was worried because Rockycrest Resort is situated on Lake Muskoka in MacTier and Alexis and Andrew’s ceremony was to take place right on the dock. As we arrived, it started to spit and then quickly started to downpour. Luckily enough, it cleared up and we had the sunniest skies we had seen in a long while.
Alexis and Andrew’s had their first look at Armishaw Recreation Centre which was a private place that was not surrounded by trees by the water. It was a lovely setting where they could enjoy a private moment to themselves before their ceremony. Their wedding ceremony on the dock was so beautifully sunny. It was like as if the sun came right out just for them. I love the choice of colours Alexis had for her bridesmaid dresses and the unique touches to her cocktail and reception space in the tent. The tent was surrounded by trees decorated by lots of photos and fairy lights which gave such a warm setting.
When I first met Alexis over Skype to talk about her wedding, she was still living in Alberta and she was so stressed out. As I am also planning my own wedding in a city that I am not currently close to, I felt her pain! Good news is that Alexis and Andrew have moved back over to Ontario where she is now closer to friends and family again.
Alexis and Andrew, I hope you enjoy these photos as memories of your first day of the rest of your lives together! Thank you for having me a part of your special day, it was truly a pleasure! I really love Muskoka weddings because of the amazing Canadian backdrop. The gorgeous waters and lovely trees. Just stunning.
