What I love about Liz and Jin is their connection with one another. For them, finding love was like out of a movie. Liz and Jin met at an end-of-year party and it was love at first-sight. She was the lead organizer and Jin found himself sitting across the table from her and was incredibly attracted to her. Although they ended up talking all night, he felt like it was too short. Jin later returned to where he lived in Winnipeg but they began to talk for hours at times. Despite his busy schedule being a med student and the time difference, their fondness towards each other continued to grow. For reasons unknown to them, they just knew that they were meant for each other.
On Valentine’s Day of 2016, Jin prepared a surprise proposal to Liz after exactly a year of dating. Liz was visiting Winnipeg that weekend and Jin brought her to a restaurant and concert event pretending to celebrate their one-year anniversary. When they returned to Jin’s apartment, she found herself following a trail of their pictures and his apartment was decorated with candles and presents. Jin was so happy to surprise Liz with this special event, because there weren’t many opportunities for him to treat her in their long-distance relationship.
Photographing Liz and Jin was so easy and enjoyable since their chemistry with one another was just beautiful. It was so amazing being able to capture their passion and love. Although they have been busy with studies, work and the wedding, they naturally relax in the presence of each other and feel at ease. They complement each other in ways that push them forward in life. I’m so happy to have been able to capture these photos for them since they said they don’t have many photos of each other being in a long-distance relationship! Their wedding is less than a month away and I so can’t wait for their wedding celebrations at the Estates of Sunnybrook!
