Rachel and Devin are one of my favourite couples. I don’t think there is a time that they are not spending time together laughing or cracking jokes or simply just having fun. This is what the good life is about. When the time you spend together is simply about enjoying each other and having fun. Although it may as simple as that, there relationship did not start off quite that easy. As Devin mentioned in his speech on his wedding day, relationships tend to run on a rollercoaster. Rachel and Devin may have had a rough beginning but now they have one of the funniest stories to tell. I wrote about their story on my post from their engagement photo session at Puddicombe Farms in Hamilton. If you ever get the opportunity to hear their story from either Rachel or Devin yourself, be prepared to die laughing.
If this is who Rachel and Devin are, then you bet that this is exactly what their wedding was about. There was fun and laughter all around and because of that, it was easy to photograph as everyone had the best expressions to capture. Their wedding was so beautifully decorated, so smoothly executed, and so well enjoyed by everybody. Rachel and Devin are the kind of people you want to have around all the time. They are so considerate, loving and sincere. (Did I mention that they both are very giving, giving their lives to those in need and working at charities such as World Vision and Free The Children?) Rachel and Devin are the kind of good hearted people you want to strive be. You can see all of this in the people they shared their wedding day with and how much love for them filled the room.
Rachel and Devin had a lunch wedding and we had our photo session at the end of the wedding day rather than in between the ceremony and the reception. We went over to Lakeside Park in Oakville for the bridal party photos and bride and groom photos. Although it rained all day, it stopped an hour before we headed out for photos and were blessed with some of the most amazing and dramatic skies I had ever seen. We were so lucky to capture Rachel and Devin underneath a layer of clouds that looked just stunning. But of course you can have great weather, skies, everything – but when we have beautiful people inside and out there’s no doubt we’ll have the most beautiful wedding photos ever.
