So loved photographing Saara and Asif’s Richmond Hill engagement session. Saara and Asif actually met at the University of Waterloo in eight years ago while working on a student committee together. They stayed in touch over the Christmas holidays and it was actually Saara that got the courage to ask Asif out. Saara and Asif have now been together for four years. In the summer of 2015, Asif proposed at their favourite coffee shop!
I love Saara and Asif’s sweetness! From photographing them, you can feel their love and care for each other and how easily they connect and are always on the same wavelength. They love being outdoors and enjoying each other’s company (especially over a shot of espresso/affogato!)
Saara and Asif had actually visited the David Dunlop Observatory together before and it is very close to Asif’s family home. The location was perfect because there was not a soul in sight and made it easy for them to get comfortable and cozy with each other. Before the shoot, they were worried about how they would be in front of the camera but actually, I didn’t have to give them much direction at all. They made my job so easy because they are so loving to each other and their expressions when around each other is so natural and beautiful. It was so much better photographing them naturally be who they were and I love love love the result!
At the end, we found some lavender growing in the flower gardens and it was such a pretty backdrop for Saara’s engagement ring.
Saara and Asif’s wedding day is coming up very soon and so can’t wait it!
