Doing a photo shoot at sunrise is so amazingly magical and golden. When I have clients that are willing to do a shoot at 6:30am on a Sunday morning and told me they trusted my creative vision, I feel like I couldn’t have asked for more! I wanted to be able to give Melissa & Ian the best photos yet to reward them for meeting me so early. I chose the Scarborough Bluffs for their engagement photos as I knew that they loved the outdoors and I wanted it to complement their relaxed and fun-loving personalities. The Scarborough Bluffs is such a beautifully natural location but it was so brutally cold! It was 1C in the wee hours of the morning and to add to that, it was so windy on the beach! I was wearing my Canada Goose jacket with gloves and I felt completely frozen so I couldn’t imagine how Melissa & Ian felt as I directed them from pose to pose. I gotta say, they were so brave!
Melissa & Ian are such a fun happy couple. As the wind was gushing at us from the shore, they breeze-fully strolled across the beach beaming at each other. I just knew they were the kind of people who made the most of any situation and enjoyed life no matter what! Melissa loves working with children and enjoys singing while Ian loves playing instruments and sound mastering. What makes Melissa & Ian the ultimate cool is that they’re having their wedding on a cruise this summer! Yes, you heard right – a cruise! I’m so excited to shoot their wedding as I know it is going to be a tonne of fun! Knowing their music passions, I’m looking forward to shooting and enjoying their wedding which I know is going to be one heck of a party!
