Camasha and Marvin interestingly met at Warden subway station three years ago. Camasha was in a fiddling through change to pay for her hot chocolate and pastries as she refused to pay the additional 50 cents to use her TD bank card. Marvin, a chef, was running a little late for work that morning and told Camasha that she was holding up the line and offered to pay for both their orders so he could catch the next train. Camasha didn’t want to take his money but Marvin insisted and paid for both their orders. Marvin left for the subway but Camasha went up to him and thanked him for his help. She told him that she wasn’t comfortable taking money from anyone, let alone a stranger and gave him the change. Marvin smiled and said “it’s no big deal really”.
The train pulled in and funnily enough, there were only two seats available and so they ended up sitting down next to each other. Marvin introduced himself to her, “Hi, I’m Marvin. Running late for work, sorry if I seemed rude”. Camasha smiled and said “Hi, I’m Camasha, running early to a salon appointment”. It was then when they started a conversation and ended up leaving Camasha her number because of her connections to his line of work as a chef. Camasha decided to give Marvin a call later that evening as she was celebrating her 32nd birthday at a club and there would be lots of connections there. Marvin politely declined as he wasn’t much of a clubber but later on regretted his decision. He called her the next day to ask her how her birthday party was. From then on it was history.
Camasha and Marvin live together close to Rosetta McClain Gardens where they often take their kids to play. It is such a beautiful garden and was perfect for the shoot! Camasha and Marvin have such an incredible energy together, playing and cracking jokes at one another. So looking forward to their wedding day that is just a month away!
