Karen and Justin’s wedding was intimate, modern, fun. Decorated in a mix of vibrant colours – navy blue, raspberry reds and golds. Karen wore a super cute tulle and lace dress from Y & I Bridal. I love her cascading bouquet which colours really popped and gave so much colour to their winter wedding at the beautiful McLean House at the Estates of Sunnybrook.
Their wedding was surrounded by the theme of love-birds. Karen and Justin met when Justin used to work with Karen’s brother. Karen’s brother introduced them one day, letting them both know that they had the same birthdays (and same year!). Who knew that being born on the same day would mean they would also be soul mates for life too! Their first date was on their 23rd birthday and they have now been together for eleven years! I think these two are real life love-birds!
Justin’s proposal was very intimate. On a small weekend getaway to Niagara, they had a room overlooking the falls. As they were getting ready for dinner, Justin called Karen over to admire the view. Karen noticed that Justin’s heart was beating really fast. He asked Karen to close her eyes. As she opened them, she found him on one knee with a beautiful ring in his hand!
Having been together for so many years, they have learned that they can overcome anything together. They wanted a very low-key event so that their family could be at ease and really have a good time. Despite it being cold outside, they shared a sweet first-look out in the garden and a love-filled ceremony to tie the knot.
A huge congratulations to Karen and Justin for making their union official! Their wedding was a celebration with their families of their love and happiness. We so loved capturing this joyful day of love!
