Susan and Edgar met three years ago and just clicked. They just so happened to be at the same place in their lives and had similar values. They love to run together and then spend the night at home gazing up at the stars. They were both ready to make a long life commitment and share a life with someone. Just last year, they purchased and renovated a house together.
They got engaged under the harvest moon. One night, Edgar asked Susan to come outside to look up at the moon. Edgar who is originally from Columbia explained that it was the harvest moon that helped his family back home with farming. Susan then looked down and saw that he presented her with a ring!
Susan and Edgar had a beautiful lunch wedding at the Estates of Sunnybrook with a traditional Jewish ceremony. Although Edgar is from Columbia, it was very important to Susan to carry out the traditions of her Jewish culture. Edgar is proud to be part of her heritage and take on the customs that go back millions of years.
Susan worked with Alana at Swoon Events to create an elegant lunch reception that was elegant, light and pretty. The ballroom at Vaughan Estate was decorated in shades of blush, dusty blue and white and it felt so romantic. Although it was supposed to rain for most of the day, we made the most the weather and were still able to capture lots of portraits outdoors in the beautiful gardens.
I always love capturing Jewish weddings because of the special traditions and how it really involves many of their family and friends to take part in supporting their marriage. Thank you Susan and Edgar for giving us the honour in capturing this memorable day of yours!
