Elina and Michael met online after Elina posted her profile to eHarmony one Friday night. The very next morning she already began communicating to Michael! It’s amazing how quick it happened but it was only three years later when Michael proposed on New Year’s eve. They had decided to stay in and cook dinner together and Michael says “I know we weren’t going to get each other gifts this year but I have something that you would really love.” He gave her a small little box and Elina recalls she kept saying “really?” over and over again. She was so caught off guard but eventually said yes! Woo!
Elina got ready at The Sheraton Hotel which was right across from City Hall where they had their first look. I love first looks because it’s just another special moment to capture on their wedding day! Elina looked amazing and I love the beautiful simplicity of her dress, hair and makeup. But what I love most was her sparkly ballet shoes! Gold glitter, ooh la la! Awesome wedding shoes, I must say. They looked so comfy too!
Elina and Michael wanted to keep their wedding day simple and intimate. They had their small family focused wedding ceremony at Toronto City Hall. We then later went over to the Distillery District for some portraits. Elina and Michael celebrated their reception at School in Liberty Village. School did an amazing job in setting up the venue for a gorgeous intimate celebration and was decorated with florals from Ladybug Florist. The amazing cake and macaron tower was made by Bobbette and Belle.
Thank you Elina and Michael for sharing your love with me! What an amazing day it was. Hope the future holds so many more happy years together.
