Chris and Sunny’s love story is so incredibly sweet – from how they met to how they got to know each other, their love blossoming naturally and over time through their faith. I connected with Chris and Sunny from the moment I met them, having a very similar engagement story as mine and got engaged while on a hike in Algonquin Park. I love their softness and you can truly feel how much they care for each other when you meet them. I couldn’t wait to capture these Toronto Estates of Sunnybrook Wedding Photos because I knew their wedding would be so beautiful being held at the McLean House at The Estates of Sunnybrook.
I’ve mentioned this so many times before, but The Estates of Sunnybrook is my most favourite venue in the whole of Toronto. It’s gorgeous architecture and classic beauty makes it a stunning venue for any wedding. There’s no need for too much decor or too much anything, really. The Mclean House is an intimate setting for a small to medium sized wedding.
Chris and Sunny had their first look in the back of the house and it was such a treasure to capture! The joy on their faces to see each other in the morning of their wedding day told it all. I wholeheartedly believe that magical weddings aren’t made of lush flowers, bedazzling chandeliers, and a cake to die for. Magical weddings begin and end with real love. From their sweet first look, I knew it was going to be an amazing day.
Although the weather forecast said we were destined for a terribly wet day (with a 100% chance of thunderstorms!), the sun burst out after their first look and we were able to capture some photos out in the gardens and inside Mclean House before their ceremony. Dark clouds then proceeded to hover over us, but the rain held off for a little more for their ceremony. Their mothers dressed in colourful Korean Hanboks and Sunny’s bridesmaids in lovely coloured nude pink dresses. It was a beautiful ceremony. It was only until everyone hurried inside for the buffet that it started to pour. Hard. We were so very lucky!
Chris and Sunny, there’s nothing more I want to do than wish that your relationship continues to be provide you with so much joy and happiness. I really do feel so lucky to have been the one to capture your love and this special day in your family’s lives.
