Although Phyllis and Albert’s wedding was set for November, it was the perfect fall day. The colourful fall leaves were still on the trees and slowly fell as confetti like a dream. The sun shone all day and gave the air warmth and a little magic to all the air around us. As I had mentioned when I photographed their engagement session, they have been together for over seventeen years so this day was a long time coming! Their wedding day started up in Markham in Phyllis’ family home with the Chinese tea ceremony with the bride’s family and then followed by the groom’s.
I always feel like the Estates of Sunnybrook is like an intimate little princess house. Its intricate architecture is so adoring and makes so many amazing photo opportunities. Along with Phyllis’ gorgeous dress from Blue Bridal Boutique, it was like a magical fairytale come true. We photographed inside on the stunning circular staircase as well as outside under two big trees that were still covered in orange and red leaves. The light was just so perfect which made my time photographing them so much fun! As it was warmer than expected, Phyllis and Albert was able to have their ceremony out in the gardens amongst the fall colours rather than the indoor ceremony that they had planned.
Everything had come together so beautifully for this wedding and I think it’s because Phyllis and Albert have waited so long for this day that it only had to go just right! What a pleasure it was to photograph your love and this day that finally came together to officiate your relationship! Thank you, Phyllis and Albert, for trusting us with your magical day!
