Emily and Kelvin’s Fantasy Farm wedding started off at their family homes with traditional tea ceremonies, serving tea out of respect and appreciation to their families. Emily wore a beautiful halter neck fitted lace wedding gown throughout the day. Emily and Kelvin wanted a laid back wedding day where they could freely enjoy the day. Before their wedding ceremony, we photographed their bride and groom portraits in the gardens of Fantasy Farms as well as their pre-ceremony prep.
Their wedding ceremony took place at the back of the venue, which was surrounded by a beautiful outdoor garden. There were two things I really loved about their wedding ceremony. One, their dog Toffee was included in and brought in the rings! And two, Kelvin started crying as Emily walked towards him to meet him at the top of the altar. It then made Emily cry as well and it was such a sweet moment! At the end of the ceremony, as they were presented their signed marriage certificate, Emily and Kelvin’s faces told it all! They could not be happier to finally be married and everyone joined in to celebrate them with a cheerful applause.
All of the decor at their wedding was hand made by the bride and groom (even the flowers!). The bride and one of her aunts had stayed up til 3am in the morning the night before the wedding making all the boutonnieres for the family members. Even the ceremony arbour was made by them too! Inside the dining room of Fantasy Farm, the room was decorated in shades of purple.
One of my favourite moments of their wedding, was when Emily and Kelvin had their first dance as husband and wife. They danced as if no one was watching, but many of their family were, even Emily’s little cousins who were tearing at this beautiful moment! I don’t know what was more sweet – their first dance or the fact that it touched so many of their families that they were holding back tears of joy!
Emily and Kelvin may have wanted a fun, easy going kind of wedding but they also had a really sweet and loving wedding. Their love for each other touched so many of those around them and you could not but feel happiness beaming through all of our hearts.
