Spring is SO my favourite time of the year and this shoot is a perfect proof of why! This year spring came so late. Joanne and Perry booked their spring blossom engagement session a while back and we patiently waited and waited for these beautiful pink spring blooms to arrive. And it was so worth the wait! The spring blossoms are so better than the much-anticipated cherry blossoms because of their rich pink colours. I could have photographed Joanne and Perry with these pink spring blossoms all day long.
Joanne and Perry were so totally adorable during this entire engagement session. I always get clients that say “we don’t know how to pose!” but with a little guidance from us, they became total naturals and could not be sweeter to photograph. They so easily became themselves during the session and enjoying themselves with each other. That’s exactly what I love to photograph – couples being their natural selves!
At the end of their session, we headed over to the Toronto Docks for some beautiful skyline shots of the city. It is always so nice that you can see the whole city including CN Tower from there. This place has always been one of my most requested shots for engagement sessions. The view of the sunset behind the city buildings from there is just amazing.
Joanne switched up her look for the two locations opting for a beautiful white lace dress for the pink blossoms and a flowy and romantic pink dress which popped from the skyline shots.
I think these pink blooms will be my new favourite thing to photograph every year – especially amongst the classic architecture of downtown Toronto. I can’t wait until next year to be able to photograph these again! But it really was Joanne and Perry who made the session just perfect!
