I really love capturing Unionville engagements but better yet – in fall Unionville engagements! Brendan is a civil engineer and Sam a high school teacher, but they both share a love for curling and met at the Unionville Curling Club. Being avid curlers they became friends. Then a year later, they started dating. Brendan ended up proposing in their backyard.
When I asked them to describe each other, they both said that the other person is funny which I think is really cute since I think humour is so important to have in a relationship. When you can make the other person laugh, then you know you’ll always be having a good time together!
For their engagement photos, we photographed in and around Unionville in Markham. It was the perfect place since it is where Brendan’s parent’s house is, but most importantly, where the Unionville Curling Club is as well! We walked around Main St and came across so many places with beautiful fall colours. Sam and Brendan ended up being such naturals and made my job so easy! They were so happily enjoying their time together and I loved capturing all their smiles.
At the end of the evening, we headed over to Toogood Pond for some captures of the sunset. It was so lovely to see all the colours in the sky as well. I’m sure that their wedding next year is going to be as fun as their Unionville engagement session is. Looking forward to photographing their wedding next year!
