George Restaurant Downtown Toronto Wedding Photos

Amy and Stanley’s modern, intimate Chinese wedding was a beautiful, personal day. The couple wanted a fun, modern and intimate ceremony with their family and close friends. Their began their day at Amy’s home in Markham where they had Chinese door games and traditional Chinese tea ceremony with their families. We always love capturing this part of the day because it’s so personal and sentimental for each member of the family. Afterwards, Amy changed into her wedding dress and headed over to Osgoode Hall for their portrait session in downtown Toronto. We love photographing weddings at this location because of its beautiful architecture.

Their wedding ceremony and reception were held at George Restaurant right in the heart of downtown Toronto. They had chosen George Restaurant for its amazing food as they are dedicated foodies themselves! The couple wanted a simple, chic look that would fit their personalities. They chose to use blush, white and sage green for their wedding colour scheme because it’s both natural but timeless look. Secrets Floral so elegantly put together all the florals for their wedding ceremony that was held in the Georgian Room.

They had decorated the dining room of George Restaurant with lots of blush pink flowers that were put together by Stanley’s sister, Joanne. Although they opted not to have any wedding dances, in typical Chinese fashion they happily went around to each table to have a wedding toast with their guests. This is such a fun way to end the night and really celebrate with each individual!

Oishiii Sweets created a three-layer custom wedding cake for the newly married couple, featuring two layers of matcha and black sesame buttercream with a chocolate base and strawberry buttercream. DaanGo Cake Lab custom created a character macaron for each of the guests as favours.

Amy and Stanley’s wedding was a beautiful, personal day that we were honoured to document. It was such a joy for us to capture this meaningful time in their lives!
